Can flooring retailers keep pace with consumer buying habits?
Retail has had a tough start to 2018 with Carpetright the latest in a long line of high street
brands that are reducing their property portfolio. Footfall has also just recorded its worst month across the country for several years.
How do you think the changing retail landscape is going to effect flooring?
Do the internet sellers compromise the “level playing field” for retailers and are manufacturers and suppliers behaving fairly?
Are landlords killing off their own revenue future with high rents or are councils more to blame for excessive rates and town centre parking charges?
Or is blaming all this – and the weather! – just an excuse for an industry that needs to raise its game in attracting consumers?
