Professionals are conducting a study of the costs of the heavy sediment load in surface water coming from Twelve-Mile Canyon and evaluating potential solutions to the problem. This year has been an exceptionally good year compared to years in the past when the slides in the canyon have been active (such as 2006). As a participant in this survey, your response is essential in order to determine an accurate estimate of costs incurred by the affected communities. A few of the following questions will ask you to provide your yearly costs for maintaining your irrigation system in 2006 (a high sediment year) versus 2008 ( a relatively low sediment year).
