The NYS Thoroughbred Breeding & Development Fund and the NY Thoroughbred Breeders, Inc. would like you to take a few minutes to respond to the following survey.
We are seeking to determine whether the residency rule changes effective November 1, 2019 regarding mares purchased for $50,000 or more at public auction is attracting significant numbers of quality broodmares to New York.
In addition, it has been suggested that the eligibiliy for NY-bred races be opened to NY-sired horses foaled in other states to help increase field size. These non NY-Bred horses would run for purse money only and would not generate breeder, owner or stallion awards. We want to know if you feel that such a change would put your NY-breds at a disadvantage or, if you board horses, would hurt your boarding business.
